Child Health and Education: An Interdisciplinary Journal provides an international forum for publishing empirical, theoretical, and methodological articles, papers, essays, and reviews that contribute to improving the lives of young children and their families.

We focus on the early years: infants to children aged 8 years. The aim of the peer-reviewed journal is to facilitate dialogue between different academic cultures and discourses that leads to valuable, interdisciplinary research. Spanning disciplines of health, psychology, sociology, philosophy, applied linguistics, language education, the history/law of education, and early childhood education, Child Health and Education will publish peer-reviewed articles on caregiver-child interaction; children's emotional, cognitive, language and literacy development; play, social, and cultural environments; multiculturalism and multilingualism; early childhood education, special education, and care; and early childhood policy implementation.

The target readership for Child Health and Education includes researchers, theorists, and policy-makers, as well as administrators and practitioners in the fields of early childhood health, care and education.
